⚕️Symbiotic Snake⚕️
First, it took three sharp bites before attaching to the left kidney,
It made its way up under the rib cage and wrapped around the left lung,
Where it sat for nine months while drinking from the kidney,
No deep breath, sneeze, or large yawn capacity,
It strangled the left side of the large colon,
Until last night, when it moved off and wrapped around the tailbone,
Now thicker than a tennis ball.

I hope that snake gets tired before you do.
Your poem made me smile, then wince. It feels so physical that I could almost hear it breathing. Wishing you gentler days ahead—and perhaps one morning when the loudest thing inside you is birdsong instead.
Birdsong wishes in full voice!
